Mandy contacted Brehon House in March 2015. She was 31 years old, had a master’s degree and was working full-time. She had just found out she was pregnant with twins and had recently lost her housing. She had no family support in Tallahassee and needed a place to stay.

Mandy moved into Brehon House and was able to keep her job and have a place to live that was safe and secure. Her twin boys were born full-term in July. She took maternity leave from her job and was able to return to work after eight weeks. Mandy not only excelled at parenting and caring for her twin boys, but she also took a real estate course after the twins were born and passed it with top scores. She completed the program in January 2016 and moved south to be closer to her family.

She recently sent us a card to update us on her status. She wrote, “Thank you for your kindness and support through a difficult time in my life. Words cannot fully express how grateful I am for everything. May God continually bless you in all of your endeavors. The boys and I are well and look forward to updating you on our progress soon. Love, Mandy.”
