Brehon Institute Is Beaming

Archibald Foundation donates $20,000

January 18, 2006

(Tallahassee, Fla.) - It comes as no surprise - the faces of those at Brehon Institute for Family Services, Inc. are all smiles today. Having just received a donation of $20,000 from the Archibald Foundation, Brehon Institute is ecstatic about the opportunities that lie ahead.

The majority of this monetary gift will be used for the general operating expenses of Brehon House, a maternity home for homeless, pregnant women. One-fourth of the monies will go toward the establishment of the Brehon Institute Endowment Fund. Brehon has selected the Community Foundation of North Florida to manage this fund.

"We are extremely grateful to Archibald Foundation for their kindness and generosity," said Jackie Malone, M.M, Executive Director of Brehon Institute. "These funds will strengthen our strides to serve the community in greater volumes for many years to come."

Once instated, the endowment fund will create a smooth donations process for those interested in contributing to the future of Brehon Institute. Individuals who wish to contribute can contact the Community Foundation directly.

"We are pleased to help Brehon Institute with the administration of their endowment fund, which will support their mission for generations," said Joy Watkins, President of the Community Foundation. "We applaud Brehon Institute for their leadership and foresight in planning for the future financial security of their organization."
